Illustrations are the category where taste is most evident. It's not abstract enough for everyone to like it, and not photorealistic enough for everyone to understand it immediately. That is precisely where its appeal lies.
The collection includes illustrations from a dozen artists with very different styles. "Drinking Winston" by Hilma Karlström is detailed and dark. "Rosé Puppy" is soft and a little absurd. "Wine Taxi" is graphic and straightforward. None of them are alike. This is a deliberate choice on our part.
If you have a general idea of what you're looking for – a color, a feeling, a motif – it's easiest to browse without filters first. It's easy to miss a design you might really love if you zoom in too early.
